10 Must-Dos For Your Course Launch: Part 1



There is something to be said for the course creators out there that take the time to create high-quality, highly valuable digital education.

I want you to be one of those course creators, too. In short, I want to teach you how to set yourself apart on the digital education stage and remain an authority in your niche while serving hundreds, if not thousands, of people with your digital product offerings.

With that, there are ten must-dos for any course creation and launch.

If you don’t do anything else I tell you in this blog post, at the very least take time to validate your course idea. But seriously, validating your course idea (and you can learn more about how to do this in my 5 (Awesome) Tips For Course Launch Success Video) will give you insight into whether or not moving forward with your course idea is going to be sellable and profitable! 



This tip sort of rides on the coattails of Must-Do #1 above, but essentially, if your students don’t understand what the exact outcome will be of investing in your course -- they will simply overlook it. Make sure that you have a major outcome or selling point of what is going to help your students solve their issue, problem, or learn something if they invest in your course.



I’ve talked about market research before, but in short, this will help you to validate your course idea, define your selling point, and see what your clients/customers pain points in relation to the topic that you are going to teach about. Without market research, you are creating a course and putting it out in the dark, which means it likely won't be sellable or profitable. As you might already know, your email list is gold.

These are the people who have opted in to join your email community because of the value you provide for a specific topic, but also, they are interested in learning more about the topic you are an expert in! 

So, before you even pre-sell or release your course, you can start list building by creating a high-quality lead magnet that aligns with what you'll be teaching in your course. This way, the audience electing to opt-in to join your list are already vetted in the topic you will be releasing a course about. 

In other words, your email list will be the bread and butter of your course launch, so start building it as soon as you know you want to launch a product. BUT, in reality, as a business owner, you should be actively building your email list every single day.



Before you roll your eyes, hear me out. This must-do might seem extremely boring especially if you are not a detailed oriented person, but friends, having an outline is going to keep you organized, on topic, and more efficient when it comes to building and launching your course.

A course launch without some kind of outline or breakdown of what you will be instructing is a recipe for disaster!

Remember, we are keeping students on topic and guiding them through massive takeaways, so a course outline will make sure that we cover those outcomes, check off the lesson we need to record, and stay on topic!
